Popular Ceremonies

Lake Tekapo wedding

Premium

A bespoke wedding.  I spend a lot of time with you planning and customising your ceremony just the way you want it.  There are no limits to how many times we meet or chat.  This is my most popular ceremony.  It’s all about making your day the best it can possibly be.

Cost saver

The Cost Saver is a little cheaper because I spend less time preparing your ceremony.  we will meet fewer times and options will be more standardised.  If you want a simple ceremony without too much creativity from me, then this might be an option for you.

Registry Ceremonies

Registry Ceremonies are no longer held in Court Houses outside of New Zealand’s main centres.

As a Validated Member of the Celebrants Association of New Zealand, I am one of a small number of South Canterbury celebrants authorised to conduct Registry Ceremonies.

Registry Ceremonies must be held on weekdays and cannot be held on public holidays.

Elopement

Elopements are becoming quite popular. Choosing an Independent Marriage Celebrant like me means you can have your ceremony any which way you want.  I’ll work with you to expedite your fast get away!

Vow Renewal

Been happily married for a while and think it’s time you celebrated your journey and reaffirmed your future life together?

You don’t need a license and there are no legal requirements for renewing your vows.  It’s all about expressing how you feel about each other.  It could be just you two, or you could get the whole wedding gang back together. Recreate your original wedding or come up with a fun alternative.  Whatever you decide, it will be blast and I’ll be there to help.

Civil Union

A Civil Union is very similar to a marriage. It was originally intended as a substitute for marriage, for couples who could not legally marry (e.g. because they were same-sex couples), so they could receive the same rights as married couples.

Same-sex couples have been able to legally marry in New Zealand since August 2013, which means that couples wanting to formalise their relations can now choose marriage or civil union.
